Bill Conroy
Chief Executive Officer & President |
Bill Conroy has served as Initiate's chief executive officer and president and a member of our board of directors since July 2002. Prior to joining Initiate Systems, Bill held various executive and operational positions with a number of technology-based companies, including president of Click Commerce, Inc., venture partner at Insight Capital Group, chief operating officer of TenFold Corporation and a group vice president of U.S. sales at Oracle Corporation. He also held numerous sales positions at IBM. Bill holds a B.S. in business administration from Bowling Green State University and has served on the boards of directors of two public companies, Click Commerce, Inc. and Braun Consulting.

Jeff Galowich
Executive Vice President, Corporate Development, General Counsel, Co-Founder |
Jeff Galowich co-founded Initiate Systems and has served as our executive vice president of corporate development since October 2007 and a member of our board of directors since our inception. Jeff holds a B.S. in accountancy from University of Illinois and a J.D. from University of California, Los Angeles. Jeff also serves as president and director of Madison Group Holdings, Inc. Prior to joining Initiate Systems, he practiced law with the Los Angeles firm of Greenberg, Glusker, Fields, Claman & Machtinger. Jeff is also a certified public accountant.

Dan Kossmann
Chief Financial Officer |
As chief financial officer, Dan Kossmann oversees all aspects of Initiate's financial activities, from strategic financial planning through operations. Dan is responsible for ensuring that Initiate has a world class finance infrastructure to support continued growth. Dan joined Initiate Systems in January 2008 from OutStart, Inc. where he served as CFO as this company grew from three to 600 customers. He served as CFO for several other software companies including Datalogix Inc., Infinium Inc., NetG and Servicesoft Inc. His many years of experience include managing companies through consistent profitability, successful public offerings, mergers and acquisitions. Dan received his B.B.A. in accounting from Niagara University in Lewiston, NY.

Martin Moseley
Chief Technology Officer |
Martin "Marty" Moseley has served as our chief technology officer since January 2007. From October 2001 to January 2007, Marty was a director and chief architect at Intuit, Inc., a software company. Prior to joining Intuit, Marty was chief technology officer at several privately-held startup companies and also served as director of information architect for Apple. He holds a B.S.B.A. from University of Phoenix.

Scott Schumacher, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President and Chief Scientist |
Scott Schumacher, Ph.D., has served as our senior vice president and chief scientist since November 2000. Scott is responsible for development of the statistical linking algorithms used in Initiate software. From May 1985 to November 2000, Scott held various positions at XonTech, Inc., which is now a part of Northrop Grumman, including technical analyst, principal analyst, program manager and division scientist. Scott was responsible for the design, development and testing of advanced remote-sensing systems and classified Department of Defense/Intelligence Community applications. Scott holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from University of California, Los Angeles, where he has also served as an associate professor.

Greg Shaw
Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing |
As senior vice president of worldwide sales, Greg Shaw is responsible for the global sales direction and expansion. Greg has over 25 years of extensive experience in enterprise software and technology industries that span both start-ups and large corporate entities. His areas of expertise include strategic, financial, and operational planning, as well as complex and solution sales methodologies and processes.
Prior to joining Initiate, Greg was vice president, North American sales and operations for Austin-based Exterprise, Inc. where he built the direct and channel sales organization in North America and developed the company’s sales strategy, and solution sales process. Greg was instrumental in the successful launch of the company and the acquisition by Commerce One. Greg has also held several key sales leadership positions at Oracle, culminating as director of sales operations for a $1 billion revenue, 700-person business unit. Greg holds a BA with special honors in computer science and mathematics from the University of Texas, at Austin.

Sean Cassidy
Vice President, Business Development |
As vice president of business development, Sean Cassidy is responsible for driving Initiate’s growth by identifying, incubating, enabling, supporting and managing indirect sales channels for our products and services. Prior to joining the company in 2004, Sean served on the leadership team at YouDevise, Inc., a financial services enterprise software firm based in London, England. He previously held executive and senior program management positions at several Internet startups and was vice president of applications development at TenFold Corporation. Sean began his career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and has a BBA in economics from Kent State University.

In his role as vice president of human resources, Steve Heckert is responsible for the design and delivery of all HR programs and services for employees around the world, including human capital strategy, compensation, recruitment and selection, talent management, benefits and employee relations. Prior to joining Initiate in 2007, Steve held HR management positions at various technology-based companies, including Hyperion Software, JDSU and SDL, Inc., and with diversified manufacturing companies such as Eaton Corporation and Federal-Mogul. Steve has a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics and a master’s degree in labor and industrial relations from Michigan State University.

Gina Sandon
Vice President, Marketing |
As vice president of marketing, Gina Sandon provides leadership around corporate messaging, branding, communications, public/media relations, industry solutions, demand creation and inside sales. She gained extensive experience in technology marketing from her roles at Arasys Technologies, Click Commerce, Inc., DARC Corporation and St. Paul Software. She was instrumental in launching Isix Software (a division of DARC). Gina holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Minnesota State University.

Brian Vile is Initiate’s vice president of product strategy, responsible for defining the product strategy and solution portfolio for all targeted markets worldwide. A software and technology industry veteran, Brian was previously vice president of products and general manager at Macrovision, where he managed their installation tools and the information publishing products, as well as led several acquisitions, including ZeroG and eMeta. Prior to Macrovision, he was vice president of product management at Information Resources, and held high-visibility roles at Hewlett Packard and Motorola. Brian recently served on the board of the Software & Information Industry Association’s Software Division.

Dave Wilkinson
Vice President, Research & Development |
Dave Wilkinson has served as our vice president of research & development since September 2005. Prior to joining Initiate, Dave held various positions at Hyperion Solutions, a provider of performance management software, including senior director of development. He also served in key managerial roles at Vignette Corporation, including vice president of technology, senior director of engineering, and vice president of engineering.
