Reston, Virginia ( 10 April 2007) - Initiate Systems Inc., the leading provider of entity resolution software for government agencies, today announced the appointment of Monte Wilson as vice president and general manager, Government Operations. In this newly created position, Mr. Wilson will define, develop, and spearhead Initiate Systems’ intensified government focus and continue to drive the company’s leadership position within the government community.

Mr. Wilson comes to Initiate Systems with more than 20 years experience in the high tech industry, specializing in the U.S. public sector market – federal, state and local government. Prior to his position at Initiate Systems, Mr. Wilson served as vice president of Government Operations at EMC Software, where he significantly raised the profile of the company’s Government Division. Prior to EMC, Mr. Wilson held various executive level positions at Oracle Corp., where he served as one of the founders of the company’s government practice and is credited with establishing a strong relationship within the Department of Defense.

In addition to his success in the private sector, in 1999 Mr. Wilson was appointed by the Governor of Colorado to serve as vice chairman of the Colorado Information Management Commission, where he helped provide policy and budgetary oversight for the state’s IT acquisitions.

In his new position, Mr. Wilson plans to take Initiate Systems’ strong momentum and channel it more directly toward the government space. “My goal is to take the success we’ve had in law enforcement, criminal justice and healthcare and leverage that into other agencies, making Initiate Identity Hub™ the product of choice for large government entities,” he said. “I want to bring the advantages of this technology to federal, state, and local levels.”
