CHICAGO (October 1, 2007) – Initiate Systems, Inc., today announced the availability of Initiate Citizen™ software. This new product leverages the innovative Initiate Master Data Service™ version 8.0, a comprehensive master data management (MDM) platform that delivers single, trusted and complete versions of critical data assets in real time to the people, processes and applications that rely on them.
"Government agencies are increasingly seeking greater efficiency, whether through consolidating programs, reducing duplication or streamlining processes," said Bill Conroy, CEO and president of Initiate Systems. “Citizens are tired of the financial waste, and are tired of having to go through multiple touchpoints to answer a simple question or access government services. Our new Initiate Citizen software helps optimize the use and management of citizen data to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of government programs, while protecting the privacy of personally identifiable information.”
Initiate Citizen is an MDM software application for local, state and national government agencies. Through high-performing technology, Initiate Citizen can deliver citizen data with a high degree of accuracy across disparate data sets and systems, thereby enabling a comprehensive single view of citizens to government programs established to increase the efficiency and availability of government services. For example, state governments can use Initiate Citizen to help them deliver programs that enable citizens to pay taxes, obtain licenses, register businesses and apply for benefits through a single channel, such as the Internet. Initiate Citizen could also help government agencies enable citizens to perform basic data changes as their circumstances change. For example, a citizen could change an address using a single interface and have that information integrate with other appropriate government systems. Rapid integration of accurate citizen data directly contributes to program effectiveness while fostering program integrity.
“By providing a comprehensive citizen view, Initiate Citizen can help government entities share data across agencies, improve the integrity and privacy of data across disparate systems, enhance customer service, lower operational costs, manage risk, all while respecting the privacy and security of the individual,” Conroy said.
Initiate Citizen will be showcased this week at the NASCIO 2007 Annual Conference September 30 – October 3 in Tucson, Arizona.
